SLÆTTARATINDUR - GUIDED HIKING TRIP

Slættaratindur, the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands, is 882 m above sea level. The climb to the summit is a magnificent experience. The tour starts at the highest point of the mountain pass between Eiði and Funningur. We follow the boundary line between the villages up to the first ledge of the mountain. From here, the path up to the top of the mountain is more visible. It is important to stay on the path, as the vegetation at this altitude is sparse and vulnerable. The last stage of the tour is quite steep, and some rugged hiking experience is required to get to the top. Once we reach the summit, you will literally be standing on the roof of the Faroe Islands, where the views on a clear day are simply divine and like no other place on earth. Tour is on request in the period 15th of May to 15th of Sep. Duration 4 hours. Requires a min/max of 5/20 participants. Come prepared with a packed lunch and water. Tour includes guide.
